The seer climbs the world tree and returns with a view of where your path will lead you, or she or he travels to the roots of the underworld to understand what nourishes you and comes back with knowledge on your foundation and the means to healthy growth.
From the oracle at Dodona in the South to the branches of Irminsul in the North, the oak tree was sacred and revered as the trunk and axis of the world which held together Heaven and Earth.
